Ryland's favorite things about Louisiana:
*fried fish
*cows everywhere
*KING CAKE for Mardi Gras (me too!)
*lots of cousins to play with
*so much to do and see outdoors. Every morning he grabbed his shoes, pointed out my grandpa's back door and said "walk?"
An update on my grandma - she had surgery to place filters to prevent some of the blood clots that have formed from breaking loose. She is still sedated. Today, she will have a tracheotomy so they can remove the ventilator. She breathes on her own, but because of the pain from all the broken ribs, she needs a little extra help getting a nice deep breathe.
All in all, things are moving in the right direction. But they are moving very very slowly...

Loved all your Louisiana pictures and stories. Really glad to hear things are looking better, albeit slowly. Hugs.
